Where it all began…
Two students, Austin Mosher and Jedidiah Woods, shared a vision to propel Grand Canyon University into the realm of rapid innovation reflective of the dynamic growth prevalent in both the global landscape and the city of Phoenix. Their mission encompassed the introduction of novel ideas, innovative thinking, and creative support for both the student body at Grand Canyon University and the inhabitants of the often-overlooked West Valley.
Through extensive collaborative efforts, involving late-night sessions and strenuous efforts, Mosher and Woods created a team that sought out speakers, fostered relationships, curated ideas, and prepared venues. Every interaction and task was meticulously aligned with the overarching goal of creating a groundbreaking event.
On March 2nd, 2017, the inaugural TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity event occurred, and it undeniably exceeded expectations. This milestone marked the beginning of TEDxGrandCanyonUniversity.
